At Into Film, we're dedicated to celebrating the incredible talent of young filmmakers, and our Filmmaking Hacks competition offers a unique opportunity for young creators to showcase their ingenious filmmaking techniques and inspire their fellow filmmakers.
We're looking for short, 1 minute videos that demonstrate creative and easily accessible filmmaking techniques - your filmmaking hacks! We want to see you showing off all the cleverest tips and tricks that you use when making a film. Show us how you achieve impressive results with limited resources - creativity and innovation are key!
We're not looking for narrative films - those can be entered into our ongoing Film of the Month competition. Here we want you to take us behind the scenes and show us the skills and approaches you use when you go about filming.
Entries should be filmed in portrait and be a maximum of 1 minute in length. The competition is open to all young filmmakers aged 13-19 across the UK. For those aged 17 and under, entries should be submitted by a parent, guardian, teacher or other responsible adult. In this instance, please make sure you ask a parent or guardian to complete the entrant details part of the form.
Entries will be judged by the Into Film team and assessed on their creativity, innovation, accessibility, and how clearly the ‘filmmaking hack' is presented.
The deadline for submissions is 23:59 on Sunday 29 September 2024.
Winning entries will be featured on our website and be highlighted by our content creators across our Get Into Film social channels. Plus, the winners will receive a £100 gift voucher to help support their future filmmaking endeavours.
Simply use the ‘Enter Competition' button above, and complete the entry form. You will then be able to upload your film (maximum 1 min in length). You'll receive confirmation on the upload page when your upload has been successful.
Films can also be submitted by a parent, guardian, teacher or other responsible adult on behalf of a young person or group of young people.
Note: If you are aged 17 or under, please make sure you ask a parent or guardian to complete the entrant details part of the form.
