Alice, Hazel and Jodie are three unruly children who are looking to have an adventure in their isolated but beautiful town of Ribbon, Wyoming during one scorching hot summer. After discovering that their television has been password-locked by Hazel and Jodie's ill mother, they make a deal with her if they can source a delicious blueberry pie for later that day then they get two hours of TV time. This sets them off on a bewildering woodland odyssey in which they encounter a witch, a huntsman and a fairy, all whilst learning the true power and joy of friendship in their small but significant childhood bubble. With a distinct visual style and hazy, lazy summer vibes, this debut feature is an energetic and comedic modern fairytale for younger secondary students.
