Molly Ringwald, the squeaky-clean poster girl of the 1980s Brat Pack, plays Andie, a poor, pretty, bright girl who falls for Blane, a boy from the other side of the tracks. Can love between this modern Romeo and Juliet really prevail despite the social and financial divide between the two? And will Andie ever notice that her best friend Duckie carries a torch for her? This is a good, honest teen drama, bitter at times, but ultimately sweet.
This film has several uses of moderate bad language.
