Synopsis

Ghosts invade the cosy suburban world of a little girl via her parents' television set in this terrifying haunted-house spectacle, co-written and co-produced by Steven Spielberg. There are subtle, creeping frights and (as you might expect from a Spielberg fantasy) big special-effects set pieces in equal measure, as the Freeling family fight to retrieve their youngest daughter from a malevolent spirit. Add a dash of "TV is bad for you" social commentary and you've got a horror classic.
