Spectacular epic about the legendary queen of ancient Egypt. This was the most ambitious and most expensive attempt to show the splendour and excesses of the Egyptian and Roman empires. In it, Cleopatra's personal involvement with the Romans Caesar and Mark Antony first helps and then damages her schemes to keep Egypt as something more than just a province of the new Italian power. A perfect example of how big films looked when they really did have "a cast of thousands".
This film has a couple of uses of moderate bad language and contains mild violence, language, sex references and grisly scenes.
