Synopsis

Enchanting children's fantasy adventure in which nine-year-old Omri receives an unremarkable cupboard and a small plastic Indian for his birthday. He soon discovers that, when locked in the cupboard using a special key, the tiny figurine comes to life. Omri is soon whisked into a bizarre world of adventure and discovery - but how long can he keep his new friend a secret? The effects are well handled and there are some genuine laugh-out-loud moments thanks to a strong supporting cast.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
