Synopsis

In a grimy, dangerous corner of New York City in the early 1990s, best friends Claude and Ellen are finding that being 15 is a difficult business. Apart from the usual hassles of growing up and the constant threats in their tough neighbourhood, there is also the problem that Claude's feelings for Ellen have developed beyond the boundaries of friendship, something both girls will have to deal with. This is a subtle, emotionally spot-on portrayal of the confusion of being a teenager.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
