People in love often believe they couldn't live without the object of their desire - but do they really mean it? In A Single Man, George (a British academic living in Los Angeles) has tried to get on with life after the death of his partner, but isn't sure that there is really any point to it. He has his work and friends - most of all Charley, a former girlfriend who doesn't seem to have accepted that George is gay - but is that enough? Elegantly directed by fashion designer Tom Ford, this is a stunning film that leaves a lingering sense of sadness.
Contains some disturbing images and sexual content.
