Synopsis

Adapted from the popular young adult series, this action adventure introduces us to Percy Jackson, a modern American teen with plenty of things to worry about in his life such as his ADHD and dyslexia leading to struggles at school. During a chaotic school trip, he discovers he is also the son of Poseidon, the ancient Greek god of the sea and his uncle Zeus, king of the gods, wrongly thinks that Percy has stolen his all-powerful lightning bolt. Serving as a dynamic and exciting introduction to Greek mythology from a contemporary perspective, this fantasy adventure also touches upon the struggles faced by neuro-diverse young people.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
