What do they want? Equal pay for an equal day! When do they want it? In 1968, actually, when skilled female machinists at Ford made history by going on strike in protest at being classed as unskilled workers a way for management to avoid paying them decent wages. This recreates their struggle with grit and humour - and a fantastic British cast. Feel-good cinema with a political edge, this is rousing stuff that also serves as a timely reminder of how a few individuals can make an enormous difference to society.
This film contains several uses of strong bad language.
