Synopsis

This charming tale - based on a popular children's novel by Cornelia Funke - follows two orphaned brothers on the run from evil relatives. Penniless and lost in Venice, fifteen-year-old Prosper and six-year-old Bo soon wind up as new members of a gang of orphaned children. The gang is led by the charismatic Scipio, a masked young boy who stealthily steals from the rich to support his friends - but is he exactly who he says he is? Borrowing from the likes of Oliver and Peter Pan, this is a fun, fantastical adventure.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
