Famed Czech master of surreal animation Jan Svankmajer brings his dark talents to a magically creepy, loose adaptation of Lewis Carroll's loopy fantasy Alice in Wonderland. Little Alice is the only human, live-action figure present in a stop-motion world of bizarre sawdust-stuffed creatures and enchanted objects. Alice wanders the subterranean land she has followed the White Rabbit into, changing sizes by eating tarts or drinking ink. When she shrinks, she becomes an eerie Victorian-doll version. Much weirder than the more well-known film versions, Svankmajer's take will mean you'll never look at your sock drawer or kitchen utensils the same way again.
A series of bizarre and unforgettable adventures in this much-loved adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic story.
