Synopsis

A favourite of the Shrek franchise, the cute but deeply serious Puss in Boots gets to go on his own adventure in this inventive origin story. This Zorro-style animated fantasy looks at Puss’ childhood friendship with Humpty Dumpty, and the events that tore them apart. Teaming up with feline Kitty Softpaws the three go on a mission to steal magic beans from the evil Jack and Jill. The trio intends to use these enchanted legumes to grow a beanstalk and access the mythical castle in the sky: home to the goose that lays golden eggs. As expected, their journey meets several obstacles, alongside delightful music and dance performances.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
