Synopsis

This slow burning, superbly acted drama is about identifying and protecting family values. Matt King is a wealthy Hawaiian property tycoon and is on the cusp of selling the last piece of land belonging to his descendants. The serenity of this deal and his comfortable lifestyle is fractured when his wife is put on a life-support machine after a Jet Ski accident. Matt is forced to take the reigns on parenting his daughters, the precocious Scottie and rebellious Alexandra. After Matt discovers his wife had been having an affair, Alexandra and Matt find a rare unity in a joint-search to find the adulterous man; a painful but eye-opening journey for closure that heals far more than it wounds.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
