Adapted from a hugely popular and long-running French comic strip, this traces the adventures of a boy and his dog — a familiar tale, except this time we get to see it all from the dog's point of view. Bill the red Cocker Spaniel is languishing in the pound when a red-headed boy named Bill appears, beginning a formative and everlasting friendship for the ages. Set in 1976 and full of mishaps and adventures, this quaint period comedy aims to please all the family, but emphasises the bond between children and their pets, tapping into the notion that they truly understand each other while the grown-ups are often oblivious.
