Synopsis

After Tanner is outed as gay by his high school classmates, he becomes the focus of three popular clique leaders anxious to mould him into their very own wanted teen accessory, the G.B.F. (gay best friend), to help them win out in their goal of becoming prom queen. His real friendships come under threat along the way, and there’s a sweet and sincere message about learning to be yourself rather than letting other people construct your identity in this very entertaining comedy.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
