In this inventive, thought-provoking sci-fi blend of action and animation, Robin Wright plays an ageing actress no longer being offered roles. She agrees to sell the rights to her digital image to Miramount Studios and promise to never act again in return for a lot of money. With her body digitally scanned, the studio will be able to make films starring her using only her computer-generated image. Twenty years later, Miramount showcases new technology at a congress that enables her image to be sold to customers wanting to transform themselves into her. She protests, and the congress is attacked by rebels opposed to the technology.
Contains scenes of strong language, sex and nudity. The film also contains some moderate sex references, where a character talks about child abuse, some moderate violence where a character is shot in the head and some passing references to hard drug use.
