Synopsis

This feel-good sports film, based on a true story, sees two American agents decide to tap into the Indian market to acquire new talent through a contest they call Million Dollar Arm - a cross between a cricket game and Britain’s Got Talent – which will identify the best bowlers to bring to the US for the chance to get a major league baseball contract. The two selected candidates at first struggle to learn the game and with the demands of a new culture, with everything from elevators to pizza they’ve never encountered in rural India. But they won’t give up easily.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
