Maria Altmann’s family, like many Jewish families during World War Two, were forced to separate and had any valuable possessions distributed illegally across the high rankings of the Nazi party. Maria escaped persecution to start a new life in Los Angeles and now, in her senior years, is determined to claim justice for her family. She hires struggling lawyer Randy to reclaim the 'Woman In Gold', a painting by artist Gustav Klimt that used to hang in her family home but now hangs in Vienna’s Belvedere Gallery. The Austrian Government considers the painting a national treasure, and Randy and Maria end up entangled in a lawsuit that is tougher than either of them ever imagined.
Powerful drama based on true events about a powerful German businessman who helped Jews being persecuted by the Nazis in World War Two.
