Synopsis

Susan Cooper is an unassuming analyst, stuck behind a desk at the CIA while her glamorous partner, the James Bond-like Bradley Fine travels the globe, taking all the glory. But when Bradley and other CIA agents are compromised, it falls to Susan to go undercover into the world of arms dealing in order to prevent a global disaster. This action comedy provides a fantastic showcase for McCarthy as a leading actor. Amidst the laughs, the film also seeks to challenge stereotypes and audience’s preconceptions about what an action hero should look like.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
