Synopsis

In 1879, Félicie Milliner is an 11-year-old girl from rural Brittany who decides to flee her orphanage with her best friend, the charismatic but clumsy Victor, so that they can chase their dreams in Paris. Victor is determined to become an inventor, and Félicie can think about nothing but dancing, but upon their arrival in the big city the two become accidentally separated. Alone and with no money, Félicie decides to help out a cleaning lady for the opera house, home of a famous ballet school, in exchange for a bed for the night. So close to her dream, Félicie ‘borrows’ the identity of another girl in order to be taken on as a student in this music-filled, historical adventure that's full of impressive dance sequences.
