In the early 1990s American ice skater Tonya Harding was at the top of her sport, achieving international fame by becoming just the second woman to ever successfully land the iconic triple axel manoeuvre in competition. However her life took on a much darker and increasingly bizarre turn in 1994 in the events leading up to the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. A violent attack on fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan caused a media sensation as Harding’s links to the crime become increasingly apparent. This dark comedy examines Harding’s childhood – particularly her relationship with her abusive mother – and the events surrounding the attack itself, satirising athletic ambition, class conflict and America’s relationship with its high-profile celebrities.
A documentary chronicling sports legend Lance Armstrong's improbable rise and ultimate fall from grace.
