Synopsis

A young princess is tired of her royal life where she is expected to always be formal and complete boring duties. One evening she wakes up to find herself in a mysterious, dark forest with large trees and odd monsters. Although scared at first, she quickly begins to enjoy herself and her newfound freedom - but will it last? This fantastical animated short brilliantly discusses expected gender roles in an accessible way and is also useful for exploring storytelling and fairytales.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
