Synopsis
In this World War Two propaganda film, two dancers are inspired to swap their glittering stage costumes for dusty factory overcoats, all to do their bit to help the war effort. Originally shown in cinemas to rally support for the war and inspire other women to join in, the film offers modern audiences an insight into the working conditions of 1940s Britain and women’s vital contribution to the workforce. Please note that there is one occurrence of racist language in this film.
