Set in 1940s China, Kung Fu Hustle is an energetic, special-effects laden martial arts film with a sense of humour. Good-for-nothing petty criminal Sing and his fat friend Bone pose as members of the ruling criminal brotherhood, The Axe Gang, in order to extort money from the poorest section of the city, Pig Sty Alley. When the real Axe Gang turns up, and the eccentric inhabitants of Pig Sty Alley reveal themselves to be Kung Fu Masters in a series of explosive battles, Sing must decide which side he's on - and how to put his knowledge of Buddhist Palm martial arts to best use.
Visually stunning, amazingly choreographed martial arts film set in ancient China about a warlord in fear of his life as rulers plot against him.
