In this amiable Richard Curtis-style romcom, Peter Colt is a down-on-his-luck English tennis pro who's just about to give up on the game. However, after being drawn as a 'wildcard' at Wimbledon, he meets up-and-coming American tennis star Lizzie Bradbury and the two are soon trading both shots and wisecracks. As they start to fall for each other, Peter finds his game miraculously improve and in no time he's a genuine contender. Of course, the path of true love is never as smooth as Centre Court and soon, with the meddling of Lizzie's domineering dad (and coach), Peter's career - and relationship - is once again hitting the net...
