Synopsis

Larry Daley doesn't have much going on in his life. He can't keep a job and his son Nick is embarrassed by him. When Larry is hired as a night watchman in the Museum of Natural History, things seem to be looking up but, on his first night on the job, Larry is in for the surprise of his life. Just as it gets dark, an ancient Egyptian curse is activated and all the exhibits suddenly spring to life. Larry must now find a way to save the museum, keep his job and win the acceptance of his son whilst dealing with a mummy, an ex-president and a giant T-Rex skeleton. An adventurous look at the importance of museums and history as well as the bonds we share with our family.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."
