In this bright and colourful animated fairy tale, two childhood friends are reunited as adults by a thrilling quest. French boy Azur has no mother, so he's looked after instead by Arabic nurse Jenane - and becomes best friends with her son, Asmar. The two boys love to hear Jenane's stories about an imprisoned fairy princess. Azur goes away to study, and when he returns his father has sent Jenane and Asmar away. So Azur embarks on a perilous journey to find his friend - but in doing so, he discovers that they're both in search of the fairy princess. Will friendship or adventure prove more important?
