Synopsis

When high-flying lawyer Andrew Beckett is sacked from his big-league law firm, after his bosses learn he has contracted the AIDS virus, it seems he has nowhere to turn for help - until personal injury lawyer Joe Miller reluctantly agrees to take his case. Despite Joe's own prejudices and misconceptions about homosexuality, he and Andrew find a shared passion in the law and form a strong bond in the name of human integrity. An equally compelling and moving legal drama that beautifully documents an era of great human tragedy that eventually gave way to hope and optimism about the future.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
