During the Second World War, a new student called Jean joins a Catholic boarding school in Nazi-occupied France. His roommate Julien is suspicious of him at first, but the two boys - who are both lonely and find it hard to fit in - soon become friends. However, Julien discovers some secrets about Jean that eventually lead to tragedy. This is a moving story of friendship, kindness and betrayal.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language, moderate sex references and scenes of smoking
