Synopsis

A semi-fictionalised account of the genesis of Peter Pan. Johnny Depp stars as initially unsuccessful author J.M. Barrie, trapped by both a stifling marriage and the straight-laced society of his time. He begins to find inspiration for his most famous work when he strikes up a friendship with a widowed mother and her four sons. Depp is extremely touching in the central role of Barrie, while Freddy Highmore excels as the real-life Peter.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
