Synopsis

Indiana Jones is back in a "prequel" that's actually set before the action and adventure of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Here, escaping on a plane from Chinese gangsters, Indy crash lands in India with a motley group of companions - only to become involved in the recovery of some sacred stones, stolen by a murderous, child-kidnapping cult. Harrison Ford once again plays the mild-mannered archaeologist who moonlights as a heroic adventurer, and director Steven Spielberg's "Boys' Own" yarn is a frantic rollercoaster ride - literally, in the case of the thrilling runaway mine-car chase!

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
