The day-to-day running of 18th-century North America was a complicated business, with the still-powerful Native American tribes making alliances with the competing French and British colonial armies. In the middle of all this stands Hawkeye - a white man raised by the Mohicans. His struggle to stay alive is at the heart of this thrilling film, one that features great battles scenes and conveys a strong sense of what Native American life was like before it was finally destroyed by the European settlers.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language and contains bloody violence and intense battle scenes.
