For most of history, Kings and Emperors chose the religion their subjects followed. A Man for All Seasons tells the story of Thomas More - England's leading lawyer during the rule of King Henry VIII. More refused to go along with Henry's wishes when the king decided the whole country would have to leave the Catholic Church - just because he wanted a new wife. As the king increases the pressure on More to change his mind, his principles are put to the toughest test. This is an intelligent and moving film.
Daring, powerful adaptation of the classic Shakespeare play, which restyles the vicious king into a 1930s fascist dictator.
