Synopsis

Brainy and slightly obsessive teenage detective Nancy and her father move to Los Angeles - where she can't help investigating the death of the movie star who once lived in the spooky mansion they're borrowing for a couple of months. But the rule-loving Nancy also has to deal with being the new girl from the sticks at a school full of fashion-obsessed rich kids - and that's never going to be easy. Smart mystery with a side order of high school drama.

What our educators say

"It really is a chance for us to open children's minds to the power of film not just as a vehicle for entertainment but also as a way in to understanding their own world and the worlds of people whose lives are very different."

- Marlon Perkins, Teacher, Whitstable and Seasalter Endowed CofE Junior School, Kent
