Enchanting romantic comedy that wrings every last drop of charm from its setting - Rome in the 1950s. Audrey Hepburn plays a fairy-tale princess on a high-profile tour of the European capitals who tires of her regal duties and gives her entourage the slip. She's soon zipping around the city on a Vespa, taking in the sights and falling in love with Gregory Peck's cynical American reporter. Hepburn and Peck are great, but it's the city itself that steals the film.
A poor father and son search Rome for their stolen bicycle in this hugely influential '40s Italian film from director Vittorio De Sica.
