Synopsis

This fantastic collection includes 13 short films, ranging from Pixar’s earliest shorts such as The Adventures of André & Wally B., Luxo Jr., Red’s Dream, Tin Toy and Knick Knack – all produced in the 1980s – to more recent shorts featuring some of the studio’s well-loved characters: they continue the adventures of the baby-sitter of 'The Incredibles' in Jack-Jack Attack, follow the inhabitants of 'Cars’ fictional town Radiator Springs in Mater and the Ghost Light and star Mike and Sully from 'Monsters, Inc.' in Mike’s New Car. Other highlights include stories set in the animal world such as Boundin’ and Academy Award® winner for Best Animated Short Film (2001) For the Birds, while Geri’s Game and One Man Band present more realistic human figures and Lifted follows the misfortunes of a young alien. Each of them is filled with the same brilliant, offbeat humour as their full-length counterparts, and provide a fascinating insight into how an art form grows over time.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
