Set in Hong Kong in 1962, this is an elegant and enchanting story about regret. A man and a woman living in the same apartment building both suspect their spouses of cheating. With their partners absent, the pair are slowly drawn together, but are reluctant to compromise their morality by giving in to desire. Director Wong Kar-Wai creates an exquisitely beautiful film with an underlying sadness that reminded many people of the vintage Hollywood melodramas of Douglas Sirk.
This film has a couple of uses of mild bad language and mild sex references
