Synopsis

Young British actor Thomas Turgoose reunites with director Shane Meadows after working together on the hard-hitting This is England with this uplifting comedy-drama about a teenage runaway making his way in London. After leaving his home in the Midlands, Tommo gets off to a bad start in the Big Smoke when his possessions are stolen, but the kindness of a young Polish boy saves him from the streets and marks the start of a beautiful friendship - until they fall for the same girl. Shot in black and white, this fantastic film mixes social realism with romance to charming effect.
