Synopsis

Warren Beatty is excellent in the part of investigative reporter Joe Frady, whose latest assignment, exploring the case of a murdered politician, sees him confronting the shady Parallax Institute. The fearless Frady digs ever deeper into this organisation and eventually seems to have gotten in too deep for comfort. This is one of the best of the paranoid conspiracy thrillers that were very popular in the early to mid-1970s.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
