Our young reporter Catherine sat down with the BAFTA Award winning Carey Mulligan ahead of this years' Into Film Festival, to get the low down on her career to date and why film in education is so important to her. From her first film appearance in Pride and Prejudice to her latest release Suffragette, Carey has learned a lot along the way, to find out what, watch Catherine's interview in full above.

There's just an amazing wealth of talent in Britain, there's incredible actors and incredible directors and cinematographers and art directors and costume designers. We've got a huge history here so there's so many stories to tell.
Carey Mulligan
Carey, who recently played campaigner Maud Watts in the historical drama Suffragette talked in depth about her journey into film, what it takes to get into character and actors who have inspired her. "Pride and Prejudice, my first job had a massive effect on me because it introduced me to the film industry."
Learning from many well known actors allowed her to develop the performance style we see today. "I just had a chance to observe other people doing their jobs really well - I got to watch a lot of great actors - Brenda Blethyn, Keira Knightly, Rosamund Pike and Matthew Macfadyen - and got to study them, it was my version of going to drama school."
