Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
To celebrate Christopher Nolan's epic World War II thriller Dunkirk, we recently asked young people to design a piece of original artwork depicting the remarkable events of 'Operation Dynamo' in May 1940 - one of the most noted events in British military history. We're delighted to announce our winner is talented teenager Charlie, 14, from Aberystwyth in Wales.
Charlie's outstanding winning entry is a striking piece of 3D art that earned him a trip to the iconic Dover Castle in Kent, where he got to see his work displayed in pride of place at the entrance to the castle's secret wartime tunnels - the very spot where the rescue plan known as Operation Dynamo was masterminded.
I'm really pleased to have won the competition and so excited to see my picture hanging in Dover Castle! I'd like to thank my form teacher at Penglais School for helping me enter the competition and for giving me time in form to work on the 3D image, which I put a lot of work into to make it accurate.

Why not engage your students with the heroic events surrounding Dunkirk by downloading our new Dunkirk: The Dynamo Challenge resource, produced by Into Film and SUPER., in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures.
Targeted at 12-16 year olds, and a perfect resource to support history teaching and PSHE/PSE/SMSC or citizenship lessons, The Dynamo Challenge presents a series of team-building activities centred around the three narrative perspectives depicted in the film: the air, the land and the sea.
You can also keep an eye out for free screenings of Dunkirk at this year's Into Film Festival, which runs from 8 - 24 November. Into Film Clubs get priority access to Festival bookings on Wednesday 6 September - a whole 24hours before the rest of the UK!
Free for all state-funded schools, Into Film Clubs are easy to set up and you'll gain free access to thousands of DVD titles and resources, offering support in a range of disciplines including literacy and critical thinking.
To take advantage of these many benefits why not set up your Into Film Club today!
