Lily, aged 8, reviews Robot Dreams

This is a lovely gentle story about a wonderful special friendship. I love because this film is very emotional. I love both the characters because it made me very smile and laughing and sometimes it made me sad. I LOVE THE FILM! My favourite was the tap dancing flowers because it was a bit silly and hilarious! I tell my friends and family this film is joyful and beautiful.

Olivia, aged 10, reviews Trolls Band Together

I personally LOVED Trolls Band Together! I enjoyed hearing all of the famous songs in the soundtrack but reimagined in a completely new way. Special shout out to one of the first songs which was a really cool mash-up including lots of classics.

I appreciated how the producers incorporated the power and importance of family as a valuable lesson to lots of children around the world. I adored the character designs as a follower of fashion, the outfits and different hairstyles were all so cohesive and unique! I think the character's personalities really stood out to me, for example, the way Poppy is always so positive and bright, it tells us she's very talkative and accepting. All of the character's personalities were one of a kind, each of them with their own depths. I was quite fond of all the bright colours and patterns, they looked great in the backgrounds of the scenes and they all worked so well together.

One stand out feature for me was being able to see all the different textures of the character's hair, skin and features whenever the camera was focused or zoomed in. It really made me question how they achieved this effect. I was delighted when I saw that they added some new faces, it really refreshes the story when we have new characters to engross in and it's really interesting to watch how they interact with the existing characters and dynamics of the story so far. I admired the way the writers and crew weren't scared to change the pace up a bit. This film is a must-see for anyone with a passion for music, friendship and glitter! I still catch myself humming the songs! 5/5 Stars!

Izzy, aged 14, reviews Asteroid Hunters

Asteroid Hunters was a truly fascinating and immersive experience which IMAX's features did not fail to up-level. I, without a doubt, think that every person who watched this documentary left with new and improved impressions of space, as I certainly did. Asteroids rarely crossed my mind before watching this, but now I am constantly finding myself wondering more about them and what is beyond the clouds. One notable aspect of this movie is the inclusion of so many women in STEM which I find so inspiring as for a long time, careers in its field were very male dominated. I feel reassured in pursuing my dreams of being a woman in STEM, and after years of contemplating the reality of it one day coming true due to being a young girl, I know it is definitely possible. I never thought that watching a documentary would give me so much hope for my future, but now I'm sitting here confident in what I will do.

As I watched this masterpiece, the big screen made me feel as if I was actually in space, watching asteroids glide by. I found that incredibly moving as, until then, I had only ever seen pictures of asteroids on pages. When the scale of asteroids was compared to major landmarks, I was in awe of its cinematic vibe. Their true size and form is out of this world, not to mention, the destruction they would cause if it weren't for the people who work hard to prevent them.

I am utterly grateful for everyone behind the production of Asteroid Hunters, because without this film, I wouldn't be nearly as hopeful of my future as I currently am. I now look up to everyone working in space and stem, as they teach me that the sky is not the limit!

Fabian, aged 18, reviews Raging Grace

Raging Grace is written & directed by Paris Zarcilla in his feature directorial debut and it was first premiered on South by Southwest on the 12th of March 2023 and got a UK theatrical release on the 29th of December 2023.

This film is about undocumented immigrant from the Philippines named Joy, who is suffering to make a dwelling to help her daughter within the UK. At some point, Joy unearths a properly-paying job as a caretaker for a wealthy old man troubled with the aid of a terminal disorder. Quickly, Joy finds out that the old man hides many darkish secrets that could wreck everything she worked hard for.

I really enjoyed this film on when I saw it at the Into Film Festival with my school group on a cinema trip. I really loved the directorial debut of Paris, I thought his direction was really interesting and I am hoping that he will make more films in the future. The set designs are really good, the editing was great and the music was really likeable for a horror film. This movie has really interesting jump scares and the story of the film was really twisting by a really good look of the film's premise. The acting in this film was really well done too!

The only flaw I have with the film that this film should add even more jump scares and could be slow at times! Overall, Raging Grace is a really interesting movie and I really liked it! Raging Grace gets 4/5 stars.
