Into Film Clubs
Find out everything you need to know about starting an Into Film Club.
The Into Film Recommends podcast highlights some of our favourite new DVD releases, with separate episodes for primary and secondary audiences. The podcasts feature conversations with our expert film curation team as they delve into key themes, topics and subjects of a range of films, and suggest how the titles can be used in discussions, debates and in a classroom setting.
September 2018: Primary
This month's episode for primary audiences looks at Disney's universe-spanning adventure A Wrinkle in Time, useful for discussing curriculum subjects including English literature, mathematics, PSHE and science, and other topics such as family, anti-bullying, growing up, space and planets, and storytelling.
September 2018: Secondary
This month's episode for secondary audiences looks at two films.
The first, likeable high-school drama Love, Simon, is useful for discussing curriculum subjects including English literature, ICT, media studies and PSHE, and other topics such as LGBT life, family, friendships, love and relationships, growing up, and school life.

Secondly, hard-hitting documentary The Rape of Recy Taylor is useful for discussing subjects including citizenship, film studies, history, law, media studies and politics, and topics such as crime and punishment, campaigns and revolutions, racism and prejudice, abuse, historical figures, gender representation, and equality.

All three films discussed on this month's episodes are playing in the Into Film Festival in November, with all tickets completely free to book. If you're unable to attend a screening, the films are also available for Into Film Club leaders to order from our catalogue.
