Through diverse film choices and exciting classroom activities, this resource encourages pupils to explore and reflect on how the identity of people and places is represented on film, as well as looking at young people's voice and the different strategies communities use to organise and motivate change.
The activities centre on four carefully chosen films from different countries that will engage and excite pupils by exploring key themes: Brave; Kirikou And The Men And The Women; Song of the Sea and Into Film Award-winning pupil-made short film Political Animals.
This resource has been designed to work across a range of subjects including English and literacy, art and design, wellbeing, PSHE, PSE and PDMU, geography and music.
We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.
