We partnered with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, EDF Energy and SUPER. to bring you this free resource based on the film, Hidden Figures, that will help students explore the film's themes of diversity, equality and careers in STEM.

Hidden Figures: Pretty Curious helps students to develop their understanding of investigations, fair testing and gathering reliable data. By completing seven activities, based on the flight of a rocket, students will use their knowledge of forces acting on a glider to make a prediction, test it out in a hands-on investigation and then evaluate their results.

You'll also find inspiring activities through EDF Energy's Pretty Curious project to stimulate a generation of young people and especially girls to discover the future through STEM.

Based on a true story, this critically-acclaimed 2017 film is sure to inspire and engage secondary students, while helping you to deliver a truly inspirational film club experience or STEM-focussed lessons.

Updating our resources

We have developed a large catalogue of educational resources since launching in 2013, and some references and terminology will inevitably have dated as society and language evolves. We are aware of this and will be updating resources when our production schedule allows.

What our educators say

"As an alternative provision for learners who are not in mainstream school we use your resources in a slightly different way as they generally find it hard to watch a full length film. They are, however fantastic. "
