Help every student unlock the magic within themselves with Wicked Futures: Careers in Film, our thrilling learning sequence created to celebrate the cinematic release of Wicked, only in cinemas from November 22.  

By spotlighting the roles of early-career trainees who worked on Wicked, this resource offers students inspiring insight into career pathways within the screen industries – because everyone deserves the chance to fly! The programme supports curriculum objectives from:

  • Maths/STEM 
  • PSHE 

By highlighting a diverse range of roles from pre- to post-production, Wicked Futures: Careers in Film demystifies the behind-the-scenes work that brings stories to life on the big screen. This resource includes: 

Your Qualifications, Experiences and Skills activity 

Drawing on interviews with the Wicked trainees, learners will reflect on their own qualifications, experiences and skills, and how these can help them take steps towards their chosen career. 

Time to Work activity 

Focusing on trainee responsibilities across the camera, costume, props, sound and VFX departments on Wicked, this time-management task challenges learners to prioritise to meet a range of deadlines. 

Press Release activity 

In this English/literacy task, students will work with the real Wicked press release, distilling information into copy for different formats and audiences. 

Wicked Futures online quiz 

This multiple-choice quiz matches students to potential roles of interest in the screen industries, based on their skills and personality traits.
