The new Netflix four-part drama Adolescence, now available for schools to view for free* with Into Film+, has had an instant cultural impact, intelligently driving the conversation around the rise of misogyny, dangerous online sub-groups and social responsibility. 

This short guide introduces the themes covered in the series as well as some of the language and terminology used in the online subcultures that Adolescence makes reference to.

*Screenings for an entertainment or extra-curricular purpose require a PVS (Public Video Screening) Licence from Filmbankmedia. State-funded schools in England are covered by the PVS Licence.
