Synopsis

19th-century England: Tess Durbeyfield is born into a poor family in the rural west of the country, and grows into a beautiful young woman. Her father is told the family is linked to nobility, and sends Tess in search of their supposed rich relatives, the D'Ubervilles. That trip will introduce Tess to the first of two men who will change the course of her life. Stunning adaptation of Thomas Hardy's classic novel.
