Synopsis

This animated Disney comedy is a fascinating curio, consisting of four shorts featuring House of Mouse regulars Donald Duck and Goofy in the unusual setting of Central and South America. This courtship of the US's Latin brother was part political (the enterprise was underwritten by the US Department of Stat and part economic necessity (Disney's European markets were rapidly closing due to World War II) but, rest assured, the antics of Donald and Goofy, dealing with troublesome llamas, pampas cowboys and the sights and sounds of Rio, remain as timelessly funny as ever.

What our educators say

"We are currently screening The Wizard of Oz, profound film that it is, and the last film Wall-E. It's been rewarding observing the KS1 6 year olds run the gamut of emotions from wonder to sadness to joy. "
